All-Day Underground Electronic Music Festival Coming to the Shipyards in North Vancouver This October
Public Disco’s fall festival features Leon Vynehall, Fred P, Prosumer, DJ Holographic and more at one of the region’s most iconic waterfront sites
VANCOUVER, B.C. — Public Disco is expanding its signature open-air dance floor format into a landmark new festival this fall. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, Public Disco Festival takes over the Shipyards District in North Vancouver. The 19+ event will run from 2 to 10pm and will transform the industrial waterfront venue into an underground electronic music festival featuring two stages. Headlining the festival are internationally celebrated DJs Leon Vynehall (UK), Fred P (NYC), Prosumer (UK), and DJ Holographic (DET). For Public Disco, now in its 10th year, it’s the biggest event in the organization’s history.
Additional Main Stage DJs include local favourite Dane and DJ Hannah from Calgary. In addition, the festival features an all-vinyl listening lounge powered by Lobe Studio’s spatial sound system, featuring local DJs Scott W, Kozue, Christa Belle and Serena S. The Vinyl Lounge will showcase live visuals by artists Toi Whakairo, clara, Laine Butler and curator, ephemeral objects. Attendees can also enjoy food from the food market in Shipbuilders’ Square, as well as drinks from bars throughout the fully licensed venue.
“Public Disco has always been about transformation. The Shipyards District is a brilliant example of that same spirit, a post-industrial waterfront reimagined as one of the region’s favourite gathering spaces.,” says Nickolas Collinet, Executive Director, Public Disco, “This fall, we’re bringing artists who have helped shape and sustain house music culture to a site that was built to be reclaimed by the public. We can’t wait to see it come alive.”
The Venue: Three Distinct Spaces
The Shipyard Commons: Main StageThe open air steel-framed structure faces downtown Vancouver across the inlet, with views of both the sky and the water.
Pipe Shop Venue: Vinyl LoungeA restored century-old industrial building steps from the Main Stage, housing the all-vinyl listening room with curated visual art projections.
Shipbuilders’ Square: Food MarketThe outdoor plaza at the heart of the district hosts the festival’s outdoor food market, a place to eat, decompress, and move between stages.
