CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Public spaces should feel good foreveryone.

✔ Ask first. Before touching someone, entering their space, or taking their photo.

✔ Respect boundaries. If someone says no, step back, no questions asked.

✔ Be mindful of the dance floor. It’s for dancing, not filming or pushing through crowds.

Consent is ongoing. If someone changes their mind, respect that immediately.

  • Public Disco is a space for joy, not discrimination.

✖ No discrimination – Racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, or ableism will not be tolerated.

✖ No harassment – Verbal, physical, or online abuse has no place here.

✖ No aggressive or disruptive behavior – Respect the space and the people in it.

Look out for each other. If you see harm happening, step in if you feel safe, or flag a staff member.

  • Performers are here to share their art and energy. Respect their space, the stage, and their creative process:

✖ No touching performers or entering their space.

✖ No stage access unless invited.

✖ No song requests – Artists are hired to express their unique style.

  • We love a good time, but not at the expense of others, or your own safety.

✔ Drink responsibly – If you’re too intoxicated, we won’t serve you.

✔ Pace yourself – These events are about music, movement, and connection, not overconsumption.

✔ Take care of others – Check in on your friends, offer water, and look out for those around you.

Many of our spaces are open to all ages. Keep that in mind as you celebrate.

  • Feeling unsafe? Noticing something off? We’re here to help

    During the event:

✦ Look for our harm reduction team (they’re easy to spot).

✦ Approach any Public Disco staff for help.

    After the event:

✦ Report incidents through our contact form – we follow up on all reports.

✦ If someone who has harmed you is at an event, let us know so we can help.

Community care is a team effort. If something’s not right, say something.
