Frequently Asked Questions
-
We rely on a great crew of volunteers to make our events happen. If you're interested in getting involved, fill out our Volunteer Application.
-
We get a lot of interest from artists. The best way to be considered is to fill out the DJ & Artist Application Form on our website. Please don't email or DM, we're a small team and can't respond individually.
Most of our events are curated by community partners who represent different corners of the local scene. We share applications with them, but ultimately they build lineups to reflect their vision and community. Slots are limited and competitive, but we do our best to include emerging artists when possible. -
We have two types of vendors at our events: market vendors (artisans, makers, retailers) and food vendors. We don't curate our markets directly, any event with a market is organized by an outside group, so market vendor inquiries should go through that organizer.
We do work with a small number of food vendors, selected to match the needs of each event. While we appreciate all inquiries, opportunities are limited and not every vendor will be the right fit. If you're interested in being considered for future events, email hello@publicdisco.ca.
A note on scammers: we're aware of people impersonating Public Disco to solicit vendors. Only trust communications from an official @publicdisco.ca email address. If something seems off, reach out to us directly to verify.

We post a "Know Before You Go" update on our Instagram the week leading up to each major event. This includes set times, transit directions, parking, bike parking, drop-off points, site maps, and anything else you need to plan your day.

Our events showcase a range of music, from disco and funk to house and techno. We collaborate with community curators to highlight both local and international artists. Free events typically feature more accessible sounds, while ticketed events lean into deeper, more underground territory.
-
Tickets are available through Admit One. Our ticketed events use tiered pricing, so buying early is the best way to get in at the lowest price. We also offer accessible tickets, just email hello@publicdisco.ca to request a discount code.
For refund and transfer policies, please refer to Admit One's terms and conditions at the time of purchase.
-
Our free events are all-ages and family-friendly. Ticketed events are strictly 19+; attendees must present two pieces of government-issued ID for entry. Families and those with pets may find the first few hours of the free events more comfortable, as crowds are typically smaller.
-
Our Summer Block Parties include both free, all-ages block parties and 19+ ticketed events. Free events focus on local artists, while ticketed events feature international headliners. We also partner with other events to complement our block parties with additional free music activations throughout the city.
