PUBLIC DISCO MARKS 10 YEARS OF TURNING THE CITY INTO A DANCE FLOOR
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: APRIL 14, 2026
Public Disco announces four 2026 Summer Block Parties presented by Olé Cocktail Co. plus a limited-edition merch collection
Vancouver, B.C. — For ten years, Public Disco has been turning Vancouver’s streets, plazas, and public spaces into dance floors featuring local and international talent within the underground electronic music scene. This summer, the nonprofit celebrates that milestone by announcing four 2026 Summer Block Parties. Presented by Olé Cocktail Co., the Block Parties include two free, all-ages events and two 19+ ticketed events featuring international headliners. As part of the 10-year celebration, a limited-edition merch collection will launch at the Public Disco Pop-Up Shop at our Granville Island Block Party on June 5 & 6.
“We are so excited to celebrate 10 years of Public Disco. Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of transforming Vancouver’s urban spaces into vibrant dance floors, and none of it would be possible without the incredible community that has grown around our events,” says Nickolas Collinet, Executive Director of Public Disco, “This summer’s Block Parties are for everyone. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are discovering Public Disco for the very first time, we can’t wait to dance with you.”

About Public Disco:
Public Disco is a nonprofit dedicated to transforming unconventional urban spaces into dance floors. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, Public Disco creates events rooted in the Black, Latinx, and queer movements that gave birth to underground dance music, from early discotheques to house, techno, and contemporary club culture. By carrying that legacy forward, Public Disco reimagines public space as a place for rhythm, connection, and collective release grounded in safety, freedom, and community. Through free and low-barrier ticketed events, the organization invites everyone to engage with dance music, whether they're deeply embedded in the scene or discovering it for the first time.
