Public Disco returns to Lot 55 beneath the Granville Bridge for a two-day block party. This is the summer opener we come back to each year, and in 2026, it marks the launch of our 10th Season. Part of our Summer Block Parties presented by Olé Cocktail Co.

Friday is curated by Brendocha, spotlighting Latinx music genres. Expect rhythm forward selections, a line up made up of local talent, guest selectors from Montreal, and an atmosphere shaped by cross-cultural exchange. Saturday is curated by 2flowers, tracing disco into house and adjacent sounds. Groove-led selections that build slowly and hold the floor through the evening.

Across both days, the expanded site opens into a full weekend hangout with licensed bars, food vendors, shaded seating, family-friendly elements, and room to move between dance floor and social spaces. The weekend also marks the debut of our limited-edition 10-Year Merch Collection at the on site Public Disco Pop-Up Shop.

Curation

FRIDAY JUNE 5 CURATED BY Brendocha

A Friday shaped by Latin club sounds moving between salsa, dembow, guaracha, Latin tech and more.

Brendocha (she/they) is a Peruvian DJ and event organizer based in Vancouver, whose work centers on creating space for the sounds, artists, and communities that are too often overlooked within the city’s music landscape. As co-founder of Club Bebé—a queer femme-founded Latinx collective—she is dedicated to building vibrant, intentional events for the queer Latin diaspora in Vancouver, prioritizing the visibility and elevation of Latinx talent while weaving together genres and influences from across Latin America and the diaspora.

SATURDAY JUNE 6 CURATED BY 2flowers

A Saturday shaped by house and disco, where the roots and future are both felt. The Black, queer, and trans spirit of this music isn’t just history, it’s right now.

2flowers is a Black and non-binary event curator shaped by the power of music to help people express themselves, explore identity, and connect with community. Raised on an eclectic mix of Chicago radio and their family’s deep record collection, they bring a distinct feeling to every experience—grounded in care, intention, and respect for the culture.

THE VENUE

Set beneath the Granville Bridge, Lot 55 sits at the centre of the island’s constant flow. seawall traffic, ferry arrivals, and footpaths feeding into a raw concrete footprint FRAMED by the structure overhead. In our third year here, the space returns expanded and reworked in partnership with Granville Island, shifting a working PARKING lot into an open-air dance floor that holds the weight and movement of the city around it.

  • At Public Disco Society, we recognize that our events and gatherings primarily take place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Additionally, we acknowledge that we are sometimes contracted to host events on Indigenous lands outside of these territories. We honor and respect the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded these lands for generations and continue to do so today.

We acknowledge that the land on which we operate, celebrate, and build community is stolen land. Our events and parties are held in public spaces that have been home to Indigenous Nations long before the arrival of settlers. As team members, it is our responsibility to tread softly on the land and respect it, always leaving the spaces we occupy better than how we found them. We encourage all members of our community to take this acknowledgment to heart, reflect on its significance, and actively engage in respectful and meaningful actions that support Indigenous sovereignty and rights.

Public Disco Society is dedicated to making this acknowledgment a living practice, ensuring that it informs and enriches all our activities and interactions.
