Curated by Jesse Walker and DJ dood, bringing together new voices alongside established tastemakers who know how to hold a floor and when to shift it. Across two stages, the night moves with intention. The Main Stage builds steadily, while the Street Stage, led by teXture, highlights Vancouver’s queer underground with a more free-flowing, high-energy approach.

Expect hands-in-the-air moments, deeper stretches, and a mix of sounds shaped by both history and what’s happening now. The focus stays on connection, with space for unexpected turns, shared release, and a strong sense of chosen family throughout the night.

Curation

Jesse Walker and DJ Dood ARE guiding the energy of the night across both stages. THEIR CURATION bringS together a mix of  local strong holds and established international selectors who know how to tell a story while getting a dance floor moving.

For Pride, the programming journeys through multiple genres across two stages. The Main Stage builds a steady arc through uplifting disco, house and techno, while the Street Stage, led by TeXture, centres Vancouver’s queer underground with sets that move between high energy Twists and left-field turns.

The approach is expansive while considered, with space for contrast, release, and connection throughout the night.

A Street Stage takeover by Texture, bringing their distinct approach to Vancouver’s queer underground into the open.

TEXTURE IS a party, collective and culmination of ideas by Vancouver nightlife tastemakers Educación Física, Fisher Bryce, and Jiggity Jeff. teXture was inspired by a desire to bring an intentional musical experience to Vancouver's Queer Community.

At home, the crew curates a night of acid house, liquid, and trance, highlighting a consistent narrative from the nineties to now. Rooted in the ethos of underground culture, their party is less about headliners and more about a cohesive night of collaboration, dance, and keeping those pesky phones tucked away.

Embrace the vibe.

THE VENUE

A full street takeover of WEST 3rd and Ontario, where Mount Pleasant’s industrial edges and laneways open into a dense, open-air dance floor. Steel structures, murals, and surrounding buildings frame the space, with two stages built directly into the neighbourhood fabric.

  • At Public Disco Society, we recognize that our events and gatherings primarily take place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Additionally, we acknowledge that we are sometimes contracted to host events on Indigenous lands outside of these territories. We honor and respect the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded these lands for generations and continue to do so today.

We acknowledge that the land on which we operate, celebrate, and build community is stolen land. Our events and parties are held in public spaces that have been home to Indigenous Nations long before the arrival of settlers. As team members, it is our responsibility to tread softly on the land and respect it, always leaving the spaces we occupy better than how we found them. We encourage all members of our community to take this acknowledgment to heart, reflect on its significance, and actively engage in respectful and meaningful actions that support Indigenous sovereignty and rights.

Public Disco Society is dedicated to making this acknowledgment a living practice, ensuring that it informs and enriches all our activities and interactions.
