👨‍👩‍👧 All Ages Welcome

Public Disco closes out its 10th Summer Season with a free, all-ages day at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl'e7énḵ Square, in the heart of Downtown Van. This is where underground electronic music culture meets the city at large.

Curated for the second year by Dairy Free, the lineup brings all-vinyl sets from some of the city's most trusted selectors. An expanded record market returns after last year's success, joining a food market and the wide open steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery.

This is what Public Disco does best, placing dance music where it doesn't typically live, and making it feel like it belongs there.

Part of the 2026 Public Disco Summer Block Party series presented by Olé Cocktail Co.

CURATION

DAIRY FREE

Dairy Free shapes the lineup with a sharp ear for sound and a soft spot for good music.

A DJ and raver known for eclectic selections and #insanoblends, they bring together all-vinyl sets from some of the city’s most trusted selectors. Expect unexpected rhythms and feel-good grooves that keep the energy just right, with a steady flow across the day.

THE VENUE

Set at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square, the North Plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery opens into one of the city’s most recognizable public gathering spaces. Wide concrete steps, open sight lines, and constant downtown movement create a setting that feels both expansive and immediate.

Here, the dance floor meets the city at full scale. Pedestrian flow, street energy, and public space fold into the music, shaping a site that feels less contained and more embedded in the rhythm of downtown itself.

    publicdisco.ca/our-mission

  • At Public Disco Society, we recognize that our events and gatherings primarily take place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Additionally, we acknowledge that we are sometimes contracted to host events on Indigenous lands outside of these territories. We honor and respect the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded these lands for generations and continue to do so today.

We acknowledge that the land on which we operate, celebrate, and build community is stolen land. Our events and parties are held in public spaces that have been home to Indigenous Nations long before the arrival of settlers. As team members, it is our responsibility to tread softly on the land and respect it, always leaving the spaces we occupy better than how we found them. We encourage all members of our community to take this acknowledgment to heart, reflect on its significance, and actively engage in respectful and meaningful actions that support Indigenous sovereignty and rights.

Public Disco Society is dedicated to making this acknowledgment a living practice, ensuring that it informs and enriches all our activities and interactions.
